Right now, The Sims 4 is a mess for everyone. With so many bugs literally ruining long-running games, EA promises to fix everything quickly.
Sims 4 players are starting to get a lot of it. With each new expansion, problems arise. Maxis has been having a lot of trouble releasing its new major DLCs for some time, which are systematically accompanied by a major update before their release. Patches that literally break everyone’s game. The Amour Fou DLC has not been spared either, and the community’s mood is starting to heat up. The developers tried to calm things down by promising an update to rescue the game from its current deplorable state.
A major update is coming for The Sims 4
It’s been over a week since The Sims 4 became almost unplayable for many players. Failing textures, basic gameplay issues, bugs of all kinds… the relationship between Maxis and its community has dropped several points. The developers deployed a small emergency hotfix a few days ago to prevent members of the same family from taking over the roleplays of Jaime and Cersei Lannister. Incest is still a thing of the past, but many problems persist. EA has finally spoken out to calm the most impatient players. A more substantial update is coming, but not tomorrow.
“We’re working on a patch that will address several issues that have been reported since the release of The Sims 4 Amour Fou. These include incidents of error codes, missing interactions, and warped lenses. We appreciate your patience and plan to implement these fixes in the game over the next week,” the game’s official account explains. Without the list of patch notes, it’s difficult to know what this update is for or anything else.
There is clearly no shortage of problems, with fans describing the current situation on specialized forums as “a real mess.” These range from behavioral issues where Sims get overly mean to corruptions of certain games that have been running for years. This Micmac is also affecting the precious Sims 4 mods. Some are having trouble working, while others have become buggy in their own right. The community has certainly rallied around the most popular and messed up mod of all. We won’t have to wait much longer for everything to return to normal.
