Now it is official. A Nintendo Switch collectible in The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom colors will be marketed ahead of the release of the exclusivity. No wonder she is very pretty.
Update 02/16: According to the latest rumours, Gamestop already has the SKU Nintendo Switch Zelda BOTW 2. According to the latest leak, the international retailer’s database would list the start of pre-orders for March 10th, 2023, with hopes for a Nintendo Direct around that date hereabouts? Like any rumour, the information must be taken with reservations before any formalization.
It’s no secret that Nintendo is big on the release of The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The Japanese company will ramp up production of its hybrid console to ensure everyone can get their hands on the next exclusive. Collectors are not to be left out and Big N could have confirmed the existence of the Nintendo Switch collector in the game’s colours.
A Nintendo Switch Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
After leaks, give way to an indirect formalization? In December 2022, a Chinese user ignited the internet by revealing images of what appeared to be a Nintendo Switch OLED in Zelda BOTW 2’s colors. We discovered the console’s packaging, which revealed its design in detail, from the Joy-Con Gold, from the dock adorned with white and gold, and the symbols on Link’s arm, to the runes and spirals decorating the machine. However, many wondered if it wasn’t one fake
The Japanese publisher took advantage of the Nintendo Direct this Wednesday, February 8th, to present the Collector’s Edition of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Not much of a surprise, but upon closer inspection we see that the icons of several hotcake-snapping elements of this release are similar to those seen on the Switch OLED Zelda BOTW 2. So everything leads us to believe that the console is very real in the colors of the game and that Big N saves the announcement for another time, undoubtedly a Nintendo Direct entirely dedicated to exclusivity as its release approaches. Based on the prices of the Switch for Splatoon 3 or that of Pokémon Scarlet/Purple, it should be marketed at around $359.99 in France. If it’s genuine, of course, that now seems almost certain.
