This steam base builder Fest continues, and you still have a few more days to take advantage of great deals on select city-building sims.
If you like city-building, management-sims, or rogue-likes, you’re sure to find something interesting.
One of the games being sold is WWII Reconstructor, tasked with rebuilding, renovating and restoring the city that was destroyed during World War II, where you will also learn about the history and stories of the civilian population. Launched on January 16th, the immersive construction simulator is available now in a demo. It’s a pretty good game, as I’ve played the demo, and it’s rated very positively on Steam.
Early access to the game land of the vikings Currently discounted by 15%. The developers describe it as Frostpunk with Vikings, and as I said before, I find it has a bit of a Banished vibe too. This is a good thing. It also has very positive reviews on Steam.
dwarven fortress, released in December, is also on sale at a 10% discount. In this overwhelmingly well-received game on Steam, you’ll build a fortress and try to help your dwarves survive in a deeply generated world.
There’s a really cool game called weather the storm There are also sales in this genre. It’s a dark fantasy city builder where you have to rebuild civilization in the face of apocalyptic rain. Your goal is to lead humans, beavers, lizards and harpies to reclaim the wilderness and secure the future for the last survivors of civilization. This is another game that has received rave reviews from Steam users.
Then, there are korzovin circle. This settlement building strategy sim is coming out sometime this year, and you can try it out early with the demo version. In the game, every animal and plant species struggles to find their place in nature as you build your settlement and help lead your villagers into the future. You can expand into different regions and even trade with local factions to get the resources you need.
If the genre is your thing, there are plenty of games to choose from right now, plus demos too. It was kind of overwhelming because I didn’t know there were so many builders out there – I felt like a kid in a candy store.
The Steam Base Builder Fest ends on January 30th, so grab the deals before they leave.
