Wall said it wanted to “talk more directly” the entire content of the show.
The Steam Games Festival has been renamed to Steam next festival.
Valve said in a post on the PC platform that it has adjusted the brand of the event to make the content of the exhibition more clear. The next one, the “Steam Next Fest”, will be held from June 16 to 22, and will feature “hundreds of” demos. Developers will also participate in a live broadcast to discuss their upcoming version.
Valve wrote on Steam: “We have renamed the Steam Game Festival to more directly convey its focus: announcing the Steam Next Fest, which is an upcoming game celebration for several days.”
“Browse and play hundreds of game demos, watch developer livestreams, and talk to the team about the games they are working on. They will join Steam soon.”
The Steam Game Festival debuted in December 2019 and was held in conjunction with Geoff Keighley’s The Game Awards. In these events, the upcoming titles are highlighted, and the developers and publishers have provided demos in many of the upcoming releases.
During the first game festival, only twelve demos can be played. The most recent iteration-February 2021-consumers can view more than 500 games.
Developers who want to submit their games for consideration in June’s “Steam Next Fest”, please go here for all the boring information.
At the same time, Geoff Keighley (Geoff Keighley) said that the digital program of “Summer Fame Festival”, which he debuted in 2020, will return in a “more concise” form this year.
