If you forgot there was a new Street Fighter movie coming out, don’t worry, I did too, but the film’s logo is here to remind us of its existence.
Last year, Legendary Entertainment announced that a Street Fighter movie was in the works, which didn’t come as a surprise. After all, video game movies are all the rage right now, and the same production company also made Detective Pikachu to great success, so why not make a movie based on a franchise like Street Fighter? We haven’t actually seen anything about the movie itself yet, nor any of the talent attached to it, but thanks to Collider, there’s a small update on the project: we now know what the movie’s logo will look like. As you can see below, it… well, it looks like the Street Fighter logo! Not necessarily from any one specific game, more of a mix of all the games (save for a very boring one from Street Fighter VI), but it’s certainly pretty recognizable.

While we may not know who will be starring in classic roles like Ryu or Chun Li, we at least know who will be directing. Soon after the film was set to begin filming, Australian twin filmmakers Danny and Michael Phillip were set to direct. The brothers are probably best known right now for their directorial debut, 2022’s supernatural horror Talk To Me, which did very well at the box office compared to its small $4.5 million budget. Prior to this, the duo had a hugely successful YouTube channel, RackaRacka, and, uh, we won’t discuss its quality.

There’s no word on when this new Street Fighter movie will hit theaters, but I doubt it’ll be able to come close to the classic Tuesday scene from the original adaptation (spoiler alert, I don’t think it can).
