News culture The Suicide Squad: A new trailer for the Super Villains team
The Suicide Squad, the sequel to the fourth DC Extended Universe film from 2016, is set to hit theaters and on HBO Max on August 6. This is the second trailer that Warner Bros. shows showcasing the team of supervillains that has changed since the first film.
If the trailer doesn’t teach us a lot (like in the first movie, Amanda Walker brings together Task Force X, which brings together the worst supervillains etc) then the style seems to have changed. James Gunn’s paw is so obvious that a lot of the early comments on this trailer called the movie “Guardians of the Galaxy Uncensored”.
In this new adventure, Margot Robbie – also known as Harley Quinn – is joined by Idriss Elba (Blood Sports), John Cena (Peacemaker), Sylvester Stallone (the voice of King Shark) and Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), among others. From what we know so far, the suicide squad will have to travel to the island of Corto Maltese to infiltrate and destroy Jotunheim, a prison from the Nazi era.
The Suicide Squad is due to hit the US, in theaters and on HBO Max on August 6th. As a reminder Rocksteady is also in the process of preparing a game for PS5, Xbox Series and PC for 2022 called Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.
