I have a problem: I am very addicted to Destiny 2. I thought that the next-gen version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was going to cause me to uninstall all the games from my PS5 and I almost did… They survived God of War Ragnarök, which is still installed because it is wonderful, and Destiny 2.
The reality is that I play The Witcher 3 when I need a more relaxed experience to escape and the rest of the time I’m shooting at Destiny 2 with my witch Last weekend, taking advantage of the fact that I was regular, I spent it completely in front of the screen. I made some progress with my Titan and Hunter, but did the biggest thing with the Enchantress.
I play solo most of the time, but from time to time I like to squad up with my friends to discover new areas, learn, and access the more challenging content in Destiny 2. I got together with them and we decided to go back to the game. duality dungeon to complete it. They didn’t tell me why, but I’m in for anything that involves shooting.
Duality in Destiny 2: bells, nightmares and many Cabal touching morale
Destiny 2’s Duality dungeon is a real pain in the ass for someone who’s never been there. It doesn’t matter if you’ve seen how to complete it. From video to practice there are a thousand Cabal destroying you while you try to solve the puzzles. My first time was horrible: I didn’t know where I was
My return a few days ago was another story. my power was in 1594I had my list fire build and had just purchased quicksilver storm, the exotic weapon you get for pre-ordering the Eclipse expansion. I gave myself the Deluxe Edition for the magic kings. I was ready, prepared for my revenge against Duality.
The dungeon takes place in the awareness of Callus, whose ship is in orbit of the Moon. Its basic mechanics has to do with some “bells” that allow you to walk between the real world and the nightmare world. Both worlds share space, but their arrangement is not the same. You have to sandwich between them to advance and defeat the bosses.
The path to the first boss is not difficult: a lot of platforming, some skirmishes, a few bells here and there, and a lot of chap from Calus and Eris Morn over the comlink. The most difficult part of the journey is to put up with the verbiage of the first and the worries of the second. Lady, let me shoot and kill things in peace!
Gahlran’s Nightmare, Bringer of Pain
The first boss of the dungeon is the Gahlran’s Nightmare, Bringer of Pain. He sure was a cheerful and laughing Cabal with that name. Ironies aside, beating him is not complicated. I’ll tell you quickly:
- Hay four symbols that we call: sun, dogs, cup and axes.
- We use the bells to go to the world of nightmares and look for the two necessary symbols. There are four symbols, four doors, and you need two. There is not much mystery. When we get them, we go back to the bell and return to the normal world.
- We introduce the banners of the symbols in their corresponding door, we kill all the enemies and we shoot the bells from inside the rooms.
- We go to the world of nightmares, we kill the bell ringers (enemies that you must kill to activate the bell) and we shoot the boss for the 58 seconds that the world of nightmares allows us.
And so over and over again until you kill him. The first time we took HALF of his life. We rush to the max. I am forced to return to the real world alone in the second 0:02. I revive my companions Torwinete and Varea and we repeat the cycle. There is no third repetition. We disintegrate it. I drop some boots that are not so bad and we continue.
The path to the next boss has its crumb. Torwinete and I moved on without much drama, but Varea has her own war with the platform. It’s getting better, but still provides us with some laugh-out-loud moments. We have been friends for a long time, so we have confidence to miss each other.
We reach the next boss after overcoming a statue puzzle very simple (everyone must point to the center), some skirmishing and surviving more of Cal us’s verbiage.
Uroa’s nightmare. Loyal to Shayotet
This is not even a boss as such. There is no boss life at the bottom of the screen, so I consider it a minor boss. The real enemy of this challenge is the stage. The mechanics are the same, although here we assign ourselves roles: Torwinete and Varea are in charge of look up the symbols and me I eliminate the bell ringers to reactivate the bell before they return.
I find that I hold my own this time and deal a lot more damage, and to my surprise the Quicksilver Storm’s grenade launcher does insane damage: I kill every bell ringer with one shot. My work is simplified to stratospheric levels. It doesn’t cost us too much to beat the boss and continue. we fall the no pardon submachine guna very interesting weapon.
The path to the final boss is a bit more complex than the rest, because you have to position yourself in very specific places to hit the bells and jump between worlds. We overcome it and reach the final boss. Vital fact: we did not get to kill this boss the first time. I got here. It’s time to finish the job!
Caiatl’s Nightmare, Imperial Princess
The Final boss of the Duality dungeon has cloth. The stage is bigger, there are more enemies and we have to do more things. The mechanic of the symbols is maintained, but two steps are added:
- When we complete the four symbols after two trips to the nightmare zone, which involves cleaning bell ringers and all the fishing, we must shoot some chains to ring a big bell with a large battering ram.
- Once the bell is rung, we go to the world of nightmares and Caiatl tries to escape through one of the four bells. We must give each one before she arrives for stun and shoot her.
The process is long and very tedious.
- The first time we took 1/4 of his life.
- The second time less than 1/4, leaving it halfway. We have a couple of mistakes during the process, mine is the most expensive because it forces us to do one more repetition.
- The third time we do a lot of damage to him and leave his health with less than half of 1/4. The fourth time is our worst round: we barely have heavy ammo left, so we don’t do much damage and we leave the life of a baby nail… a mismatch caused by my mistake.
- We kill her on the fourth. Finally!
The feeling is incredible. Very few games have made me feel as much emotion as Destiny 2 with their dungeon bosses. I couldn’t help but celebrate it in style, although without making a scandal because it was the 4 am. complete the mission of a single thread and I drop a couple of very cool weapons. A walk of almost an hour and a half. Not too bad!
