Star Trek: Prodigy
While Disney+ is betting everything on its Star Wars series to stand out from the competition, the company with Mickey’s ears is not the only one playing on this playing field, even if this saga never really enjoys the same popularity as the one that started it. Star Trek is a galaxy far, far away and also has a pretty solid fan base eager to discover new things. The latter recently tried to attract a new audience thanks to the animated series Star Trek: Prodigy. After a very enjoyable first season, it finally returns for a second season directly on Netflix from July 1st. If you haven’t seen it yet, the first season is of course still available in the SVOD service catalog. As a reminder, we follow a young slave but dreamy alien named Dal, who has escaped from the clutches of his master and befriended other comrades. Together they travel the galaxy aboard the USS Protostar, but their enemies want to catch up with them. If you want to discover the rest of the adventures of this unusual crew, all you have to do is connect to Netflix.
Vikings: Valhalla
If you watched the great historical series “Vikings” a few years ago, you may know that a sequel in the form of a spin-off is currently being broadcast. Dubbed Vikings: ValhallaSince February 25, 2022, this new series has been broadcast on Netflix and is in turn nearing its conclusion. From July 11, you can discover the end of Vikings: Valhalla in the third and final season. Still set more than 100 years after the events of the Vikings series, season 3 shows us Harald Sigurdson on his journey to Constantinople, where he was to meet the Byzantine general George Maniakes. Meanwhile, Freydis continues to risk her life as a guardian of the ancient faith, unaware that Herald has stumbled upon a new gem in Constantinople. Finally, Leif Eriksson is preparing the famous journey that will take him to the American continent: the historical event that inspired the series. To finally know the conclusion of the narrative threads of each of the characters in the series, you will have to connect to Netflix from July 11, 2024.
Exploding Kittens
If you like playing board games, the title of this series may sound familiar. In fact, Exploding Kittens is originally a card game that has had great success thanks to its concept that is as easy to understand as it is fun. In the latter, you use cards to play a game strongly inspired by Russian roulette, in which you must avoid at all costs drawing an explosive kitten. Because yes, the other argument that explains the success of the card game is also its artistic direction, as crazy as it is ridiculous, based on all kinds of unlikely cats such as the potato cat, the taco cat and other fun things. The connection with Netflix? Very simple: from July 12, the platform will broadcast an animated series based around this card game. In the latter, the viewer follows none other than God himself, sent back from heaven to reestablish the link with humans. To do this, he will look like a cat who will probably not welcome his new life. In addition to adapting to his new human family, he will also have to face Satan, his archenemy, also condemned to live in the guise of a cat. The trailer already promises an explosive and humorous series that you can discover on Netflix from July 12th.
