We’re closer than ever to the official release date for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. As per usual, Activision has revealed new details about the upcoming beta, which is set to begin in late August. The Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta was announced alongside the game in June, but today, we got an exact date and some new information.
As the first Call of Duty game to launch simultaneously with Game Pass, members of the subscription service will also receive additional rewards during the beta.

As you might expect, the Black Ops 6 beta will last for two weekends. The first weekend is the longest, starting at August 30 (Friday) to September 4 (Wednesday)
Unlike in past years when Sony had an exclusive deal with Call of Duty, the Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta will launch on all platforms simultaneously. As for Game Pass, the beta will be available to Ultimate, Game Pass PC, and Console subscribers. This covers all current tiers, but given the recent major changes to Game Pass benefits and its price increase, these distinctions will be necessary in the future.
The second weekend of the Black Ops 6 beta is open to everyone, with no pre-order or Game Pass membership required. However, the beta is shorter, starting with September 6 (Friday) – September 9 (Monday).
The beta will launch two days after the launch of Call of Duty: Next Generation on August 28. This will be followed by a big reveal presentation that will detail multiplayer, zombies, and more gameplay from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.
We didn’t get any details about the number of maps or types of modes during the beta. However, Activision did say that the beta includes new maps and a variety of modes. As always, you’ll be able to create your own loadout and play with friends. Players who pre-order the Vault Edition of the game will be able to use any of the operators included in the beta, and will also have access to five weapons from the same bundle.
More details, such as beta rewards and test content, will be announced closer to the beta launch – most likely around the time of Call of Duty: Next Generation. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will be released on October 26 for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
