The three free PS Plus games for January 2023 will be available within a few hours. Be careful though, some of them are huge. Here is the weight needed for each of them.
New PS Plus Free Games January 2023 are coming very soon. Sony has decided to hit hard to get the year off to a good start. Between a hugely popular independent game, a Star Wars adaptation that caused a stir, and an MMORPG from one of Bethesda’s biggest licenses, there’s plenty for players to do. But how much space does such games take up on your PS5 or PS4 to install them all? We have the answer.
January 2023 Weight of PS Plus games announced
The PS Plus starts on the wheels. Subscribers can download three new games from January 3rd to February 7th, 2023 at 11am French time. Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order, Fallout 76 and Axiom Verge 2 are therefore on the program. Three popular titles in their own right, some of which require you to free up a lot of space on your hard drive. Unsurprisingly, Axiom Verge will be featherweight compared to the other two productions that will take up a lot of space, with Fallout 76 being the mightiest. The PlayStation Game Size Twitter account has indeed revealed the weight of every January 2023 PS Plus free game on every console:
- Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order : 47,274 Go on PS5 and 45,444 Go on PS4
- Fallout 76 : 74,997 Go to PS4
- axiom edge 2 : approx. 250 MB on PS5 and 300 MB on PS4
So in total you need at least 120 GB of free space on your PS5 or PS4 to be able to try all the free PS Plus games of the month. For comparison, December’s barely took up 100GB of space on your computer because Mass Effect Legendary Edition is very greedy. As a side note, Fallout 76 does not have a native version on PS5. It is mandatory to download the PS4 version on the state-of-the-art console in order to enjoy it.
