The Walking Dead – The Ones Who Live: Episode 2 tells Michonne’s (cruel) side of the story

After we already saw what happened to Rick Grimes in episode 1 of “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live”, episode 2 is about Michonne’s side of the story. In Season 10, Episode 13 of The Walking Dead, Michonne went looking for Rick after finding a phone with a drawing of her and Judith on it. His boots were also a clue to his survival.

Michonne’s search for Rick is long and fraught with danger

Now “The Walking Dead” spin-off shows what happens next after Michonne saves the couple who were left behind by their group because the man injured his foot. In return for her help, Michonne requests a horse from the leader of the nomadic group, Elle. She is more than unwilling and would rather recruit Michonne for her group. It turns out that Michonne saved Elle’s sister Aiden and her boyfriend Bailey.

Elle has accepted that both Aiden and Bailey will die just to follow her stubborn rule that the group must constantly keep moving. Only when Nat intervenes and snaps at Elle for her cold-heartedness does Michonne get her horse. But everyone advises Michonne not to travel north, as large herds of zombies are heading south at this time.

Nevertheless, Nat outfits Michonne. In addition to a horse, she also gets weapons with high explosive power that he developed specifically for her. When she encounters the massive zombie horde that the nomads warned her about, things get dicey. She is thrown from her horse by an exploding zombie and only the intervention of Nat, Aiden and Bailey can save her. The three of them and a few others have decided to follow Michonne and separate from their group.

Michonne offers that they can all live in Alexandria after they find Rick. At the campfire, Michonne finds out that Aiden is pregnant. When the group arrives in a larger city the next day, a helicopter suddenly appears and fires chlorine gas at them. Many people die, including Aiden and Bailey. Nat and Michonne are seriously injured, but they survive.

Nat becomes Michonne’s loyal companion

Her lungs have been severely affected. The two of them live in an abandoned shop for about a year until they are fit enough to move on. They finally reach Bridger’s terminal, the place where Michonne thinks Rick is. All they find is piles of burned corpses. Michonne is on the verge of giving up. She wants to travel back to Alexandria with Nat. But when they are on the road again the next day, a helicopter shows up. Michonne and Nat want revenge for what happened to their friends.

Nat fires his missiles at the helicopter and manages to take it out of the sky. Michonne uses her sword to take care of the soldiers pouring out of the helicopter. She kills everyone except the last one. Because when she takes off his helmet, she realizes that it is her husband Rick.

Now we see the heartbreaking reunion of Michonne and Rick Grimes. However, the two have to get together quickly. Nat is killed by a CRM soldier who is still alive. The two quickly make it seem as if they alone were responsible for the attack on the helicopter. Michonne should take a different name and pretend she doesn’t know Rick and offer no resistance so that she can be accepted as B by the CRM.

Michonne is interrogated by the CRM and ends up becoming a consignee like Rick was before her. Rick and Michonne meet in secret and plan their escape. But we quickly learn that it will be even more difficult than they think. Jadis has noticed that Michonne has ended up in the CRM under a false name and she blackmails Rick with this information.
