The epic zombie series will start on August 22, 2021 “The Walking Dead“in the 11th and final season AMC. The new episodes will be viewers and fans in Commonwealth kidnap, the largest community in the apocalyptic world of “The Walking Dead”.
A new, only 15 seconds long teaser trailer for TWD season 11 now shows impressions for the very first time from inside of the Commonwealth that go beyond prison cells and the like. The surprising finding: Inside the walls of the vast community, it looks like it did before the zombie apocalypse.
First watch the video here before we go into more detail about individual settings:
At this point you will find a Video from Youtube, which complements the article. You can display this with one click.
As in episode 16 and the bonus episode “Splinter“From” The Walking Dead “season 10, the white-clad soldiers of the Commonwealth can also be seen in the new video.
Like TWD showrunner Angela Kang already elsewhere explained, this clothing of the soldiers demonstrates the true power of the Commonwealth: Even in the zombie apocalypse, this community is able to produce uniform white armor to equip its own army. The Commonwealth is technically and economically superior to all other communities.
50,000 people live there in “The Walking Dead” comics.
Then a very special Easter Egg is hidden in the teaser trailer, but one that can easily be missed: In the comics, Elodie Hawthorne is not only a baker, but also Michonne’s long-lost daughter.
The picture above now shows Elodie’s bakery, so season 11 of “The Walking Dead” could be a very special, heartwarming family gathering for the audience.
Another picture shows a road within the walls of the Commonwealth as well an advertising poster for the army. According to the poster, when you become a soldier you not only experience adventure, but is also well paid and rewarded with a great house or accommodation.
The next photo shows a hotel named after the ruling family: Pamela Milton is the governor of the Commonwealth, while her son Sebastian enjoys his privileged luxury life to the full.
What is much more decisive about this picture is the very fact that a hotel exists. The Commonwealth offers amenities similar to our pre-zombie apocalypse world.
The newcomers around Eugene (Josh McDermitt) and Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) will find themselves in the face of such comfort probably rub your eyes in amazement.
And so the next still from the trailer shows Eugene enjoying an ice cream on a bench. Judging by his gaze, Eugene doesn’t seem to trust the situation that much, but here again it becomes clear what high level of luxury and comfort (or “normality”) the Commonwealth offers its residents.
Incidentally, changes “The Walking Dead” for season 11 is his German homeland and is no longer at home on Fox. We’ll also tell you the 9 most exciting spoilers for season 11 of the zombie series.
