Marvel Rivals just announced a new character during the Gamescom Opening Night Live event. That’s the Winter Soldier and Captain America, both of whom will be coming to the game on December 6th, when it officially launches, and all characters will be free to play.
Of course, this character reveal is also accompanied by a new trailer, which gives us a good look at both new characters and a brief tease at the end for Doctor Doom, who just so happens to have just joined Fortnite.

Marvel Rivals is currently standing out in a serious way, especially in an era when arcade team-based hero shooters had yet to hit their golden age. Overwatch 2 wasn’t a global hit, and many competitors that tried to dethrone Overwatch from its throne over the years fell by the wayside. It helps that the game is doing really well, too!
Currently, the game is in pre-release testing, with the last test being invite-only. Hopefully, a public beta will be available in the near future, especially as there is so much excitement surrounding the game.
