The Witcher 3 has the right to a new visual update thanks to the talent of the modders who are particularly committed to the game. It’s great and yet we haven’t seen anything yet as the project promises to be simply colossal.
The Witcher 3 is already a long way off, even if the “New Gen” patch, a real game-changer, has breathed new life into this true monument. We miss The Witcher, but CD Projekt is working hard on it. Numerous projects are in development, including a specific The Witcher 4 that will continue the timeline of the first trilogy, as well as a remake for the very first episode. But in the meantime, the most impatient fans continue to skim through the third episode. In addition, you can now rediscover it in the most beautiful way.
The Witcher 3 has been completely transformed by its fans
There are tons of mods; Many also contributed to the development of the major next-gen patch that was deployed a few months ago. But for the die-hard fans, it still wasn’t enough. Yes, fans of the franchise have once again rolled up their sleeves and gotten their hands dirty to offer new graphics mods that make the game visually stunning. And that is the right word.
The Witcher 3 is already a pretty incredible game artistically. Technically, despite the changes, it’s a little hot and cold, but still looks very pretty. The modders even went a step further and offered a complete update of several of the game’s textures to make it even more beautiful and realistic. However, given the size of the project, it is good to note that this is only the first part. For now only some of the textures are being reworked, mainly the rock. From the smallest pebble to the large cliff, the depiction is much finer and more detailed than originally. And if you’re wondering: yes, it completely changes the landscape.
A great mod and a project that promises to be enormous
The mod in question is obviously free and can be downloaded at NexusMods, a veritable cave for modders. Future updates will finally be rolled out in the coming months to continue work on all of the game’s textures. The goal is clear: to turn The Witcher 3 into a true graphics benchmark on PC, and it seems to be on the way there. . Well, on the PS5 and Xbox Series, however, you have to make do with the already existing next-gen patch.

- Very high quality, detailed 4K textures, 100% respectful of history, for rocks (cliffs, mountains, etc.), stones and power stones
- Visible cuts in textures have been removed, making rocks now look more realistic
