In the CD Projekt RED financial report 2019 there is a detailed section on the successful role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and this proves that the title is still very successful, even far after the release in 2015.
The game is even soaring to new heights, so last year most sales have been recorded since its launch in 2015. While around 9.5 million copies were sold in the release year, around 7 million were sold again in 2019, which is only partly due to the release of the Nintendo Switch version, which is named with 770,000 copies becomes. Above all, the PC version of the game around Geralt is a real pillar with a share of 53 percent. Sales of the game were boosted again by the release of the Witcher series on Netflix.

In terms of sales, however, 2019 does not come close to the previous years, since last year it was mainly the strong discounts on Steam and GOG that drove sales. Based on the graphics in the report, the studio can now record around 28 million copies sold. So a complete success.
