For Witcher fans who have a fable for physical editions, there’s good news. The Complete Edition will soon also be available as a disc version.
The next-gen upgrade for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and the digital version of the Complete Edition for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S were released on December 14th. Said upgrade gave the game a visual makeover with ray-traced shadows, reflections and global illumination as well as support for DLSS, FSR and faster loading times.
From January 26th, the Complete Edition will also be available as a disc version for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Disc collectors will then also be able to enjoy the new features, which include DualSense support for the PS5.
In addition to the graphical improvements, you can also expect a new quest based on the Netflix series, new camera options, an alternative operating system for the witcher symbols, photo mode, cross-saves between platforms, UI overhauls and much more. In addition, the Complete Edition includes all previous content, including the add-ons Heart of Stone and Blood & Wine.
If you need a little memory refresher and/or want to know to what extent the innovations are worthwhile, we recommend taking a look at our follow-up test of the Complete Edition and the next-gen upgrade. Anyway, we really liked the embellished version.
