The Witcher 3 will soon benefit from a major graphical overhaul to make it even more beautiful, as this demo video impressively illustrates.
The Witcher 3 has already received a major graphics facelift with its “next-gen” version, especially for the PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, but also for the PC. It is also this platform that will benefit from a new and profound visual overhaul that modding enthusiasts in particular are waiting for.
Like a second skin for the next-gen version of The Witcher 3
Halk Hogan has been working on his highly anticipated mod called “The Witcher 3 HD Reworked NextGen Edition” for several months. It became particularly known for the previous version of this mod, which offered a nice facelift to the basic version of CD Projekt RED’s masterpiece that was released in 2015. Two years after the release of its “Next” version “Gen”, the title will be presented in an even more beautiful form thanks to the latest version of Halk Hogan’s mod. The fruits of his enormous labor will be available to everyone on PC starting November 23rd.
The modder accompanies the long-awaited announcement of the release of The Witcher 3 HD Reworked NextGen Edition with a video showcasing its benefits. And it’s clear that the result is breathtaking. Almost all textures in the game have been reworked and their resolution increased to achieve “HD” rendering with the most beautiful effect. You can see all this in the following video, which focuses on the major city of Novigrad.
Of course, almost completely redesigned textures inevitably mean a significantly more resource-intensive game. So you need to equip yourself with a well-equipped PC to enjoy The Witcher 3 in its most beautiful version yet. This could definitely help some people wait until the unfortunately still distant release of The Witcher 4, this time on Unreal Engine 5 and not on CD Projekt RED’s stubborn in-house engine.
