The Witcher 4 wants to take risks…

Michał Nowakowski, one of the publisher’s two CEOs, assures in the most recent annual reportthat the team behind the game is willing to take creative risks and surprise with new gameplay elements and mechanics that have never been seen before in the series:
When it comes to the risks of innovative elements – developing a new game is always a creative risk, especially because we are trying to push new boundaries and explore new areas; this is something we haven’t done before.

Piotr Nielubowicz, the studio’s chief financial officer, emphasized that such business models do not fit into CD Projekt Red’s world of single-player titles. This should also mean that the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and the remake of the first Witcher part will be spared from this.
