What do we know about Season 3?
Well, we definitely know that a third season is already in production! Good news for fans, after all, series and films are heavily dependent on the often fluctuating interest of viewers.
However, season 2 was able to continue the quite surprising mega success of the first season. After a total of over 540 million watched hours of season 1, the new episodes also collected a gigantic 460 million hours, like Variety reported. This puts both seasons in the top 10 most watched shows on Netflix.
So it was a simple math lesson for Netflix that a third season would probably be worth it as well. And: Other Witcher programs on Netflix, including the Blood Origin series, should continue to expand the successful run of the novel and game adaptation.
