The Witcher 4 project will not go into production until this year, so its release is still a long way off. However, Geralt of Rivia is ready to return in a few weeks.
Now that CD Projekt Red has announced the end of Cyberpunk 2077, all teams can return to Cyberpunk 2 and all other current projects. This of course includes The Witcher 4.” Currently, more than 400 people are working on this game and we plan to start production in the second half of the year
Another project for The Witcher
The Witcher is more popular than ever and in high demand. Dark Horse Comics has announced the release of the comic The Witcher The Edge of the World, based on one of the novel’s early short stories. The last wish by Andrzej Sapkowski, for January 8, 2025. Next year, at a date not yet known, there will also be season 4 of the Netflix series, with Liam Hemsworth replacing Henry Cavill. And that’s without counting all the games in the saga that are in development at CD Projekt Red or partner studios. But the franchise has another surprise in store that should delight millions of players.
The Witcher is coming to Naraka Bladepoint later this year. When and how has yet to be defined, but Geralt of Rivia will appear in the battle royale, which reached 40 million players in November 2023. A very unexpected collaboration that will take the form of a DLC. Will it be a full-fledged hero or just a costume with the look of the character from The Witcher? That’s the question we ask ourselves after 24 Entertainment and NetEase announced this partnership. As you will see in the trailer, Naraka Bladepoint will also receive a visit from Lara Croft from Tomb Raider. This third anniversary update also offers the opportunity to get a new map, hero and additional weapon.
If you want something new about The Witcher, you can watch a (very) animated short film by Lihtar Studios. It shows the news of Geralt and Nivellen, a nobleman who was turned into a monster after an unfortunate curse.
