Netflix has released a trailer for Season 3.2 of The Witcher. It’s actually just the season finale, but for many fans that’s the end of the series itself.
- There are only three episodes left between “The Witcher” fans and Henry Cavill’s big farewell.
- In Season 4, Liam Hemsworth will play Geralt, so the story continues.
- Some fans see it differently and don’t want to know anything about the Netflix production without Cavill.
Many fans of the series agree that Henry Cavill and Geralt von Rivia belong together like Henry Cavill and Superman. From the start, Cavill was considered an ideal lead actor for The Witcher, not only because of his physique and general looks, but also because of his love for the novel and the video games of the same name.
His exit from the series was therefore accompanied by incomprehension and anger. Many fans are sure that the series is going in a completely wrong direction, away from the template, something that must have been noticed by Cavill, who is now abandoning the sinking ship. Parts of the audience will not only say goodbye to Cavill in the upcoming 2nd part of the 3rd season of “The Witcher”, but also to “The Witcher” itself.
Action-packed trailer wants to convince fans
There are three episodes left, but the small size of the second half of the season is made up for by suspense, action and a particularly epic mood if the new trailer is to be believed. Sentences like “Fight like it’s the end” or “There’s no going back after that” clearly allude to Cavill’s exit – a smart tactic?
Netflix has previously been criticized for alluding to Liam Hemsworth’s unpopular recast of Geralt themselves, and again the streaming service is selling Cavill’s exit as a not-to-be-missed event – despite the fact that the story is actually continuing.
But season 4 with Liam Hemsworth is still far in the future for Netflix, so it is crucial that as many viewers as possible watch season 3, including all those who turned their backs on the series before season 3. From July 27, Netflix’s news program will show whether this will succeed.
