The Netflix animated film “The Witcher: The Wolf’s Nightmare” was offered during WitcherCon yesterday.

The prequel of The Witcher Netflix series was developed by the team that brought us the live action series.
Back in March last year, the producers of this film stated that they took the animation route because certain aspects they wanted to include could only be done through animation.
According to the screenwriter Beau DeMayo at the time, this story cannot be told “in any way, form, or form” in the live-action version, without bringing an “incredible burden” to production.
This film tells the story of Vesemir, and it will be a good primer for anyone who was not familiar with Geralt’s wizard mentor before the second season of The Witcher.
