An update from developer Deck Nine and Telltale Games lets fans of The Wolf Among Us 2 breathe a sigh of relief for the time being: It is now clear that development work is still in full swing. After Deck Nine put around 20 percent of its workforce on the road last year, it is not expected that the game will be released quickly. Fans of the franchise should initially be happy that there is still a chance of a release.
This is even more true since The Wolf Among Us 2 already has an eventful development history behind it. The title was originally scheduled to be released in 2018, but was then postponed to 2019. Then things went haywire at Telltale Games, which is why the game was initially discontinued. After Telltale was bought and brought back by LCG Entertainment in 2019, the sequel was announced again at the Game Awards this year; A promising trailer then followed at the Game Awards in 2022 – then came the layoffs and a lot of uncertainty again.
