The end of Telltale Games also meant the end of The Wolf Among Us: Season 2. Because while the final season of The Walking Dead could still be completed in another way, this sequel initially understood in Nirvana. The The Game Awards 2019 brought with it a completely surprising comeback of the game.
LCG Entertainment is bringing Telltale back and has now confirmed that work on The Wolf Among Us: Season 2 will continue; the development work has now started accordingly.
To complete the sequel, Telltale teamed up with AdHoc Studio, a studio that hired a number of employees from the previous Telltale Games. The two studios are now acting as co-developers for the second season.
Returning developers include directors Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart; Writer Pierre Shorette is now also working on the sequel, as are previous speakers Adam Harrington as Bigby and Erin Yvette as Snow White. Previously, the game assets had been acquired by LCG Entertainment in August of this year.
The Wolf of Us: Season 2 was originally announced at SDCC 2017; the release was initially planned for the end of 2018 on PC, Mac, consoles and mobile. After the postponement to 2019, the Telltale bankruptcy intervened. There is no new release date after the official sequel. What is certain is that the PC release will take place exclusively via the Epic Games Store.
