The release of the physical version of The Wonderful 101: Remastered has been affected by the coronavirus crisis, and PlatinumGames has reported that its sale in stores or the copies for those who invested in the Kickstarter campaign will come a little later than expected. The launch in digital distribution, however, has not been affected.
"Due to the expansion of COVID-19, the store dates for the physical versions of The Wonderful 101 have been delayed. The new dates are June 30 in the United States and July 3 in Europe
The digital release dates for these regions are still as originally planned: May 19th for NA and May 22nd for EU! – PlatinumGames Inc. (@platinumgames) May 1, 2020
A message to the sponsors who chose physical versions indicates that they may have to wait a little longer depending on the situation and distribution limitations of each country. As compensation for this inconvenience, the developer offers these users -who asked for a physical copy- a Steam key so that they can play it at the same time as other users.
The definitive version of the Wii U game
The Wonderful 101: Remastered I will publish on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam, and it is a remastering of the game released a few years ago on Wii U, with graphic improvements and new content. The action adventure proposes that we take command of a group of a hundred heroes in a battle against an alien invasion that threatens Earth. This group can take various forms by combining their bodies and powers to defeat the enormous enemies that want to take over the planet.
