The weekend is finally here and you know what that means: No, we don’t mean drinking – there are free games on Steam and Epic again! And this time six games are available for free.
As always, you can keep some of them forever, while others can only be tried out for a limited time. So let’s not waste any time and let’s see wh at’s in store for you this weekend.

Of course, Civilization 6 is a few years old. But it’s still an excellent turn-based strategy game, so it definitely deserves the title of Highlight of the Week.
But what is Civilization 6 all about? Civ features classic 4X turn strategy. You take control of an emerging nation and lead it from the Stone Age to the present day and even beyond. Daily business includes tasks such as diplomacy and research, constant expansion and fighting your neighbors. Of course, this is not a must, because there are also peaceful victory conditions, for example through science, religion or culture.
If you’ve actually managed to stay away from the popular Civ series so far, you should definitely check it out if you like turn-based strategy. Civilization 6 may not be the best part of the series for many fans, but it is definitely the most beginner-friendly.

Europa Universalis 4 actually predates Civ 6, but is just as great a grand strategy game. The biggest point of criticism is the price, you have to shell out almost 400 dollars for the base game including all DLCs.
