Hell, players have been giving Once Human’s developers feedback on Season 2, and apparently it’s “pretty frustrating.”

As a live service game, Once Human had a rocky start, with players unhappy with season resets and server queue times, but that’s just par for the course. However, the game’s second season doesn’t seem to be well received by players, with Starry Studio responding to complaints on Once Human’s Discord server (thanks, Eurogamer). The developer explained in a statement: “We’ve received a lot of feedback since the start of Season 2.

“Some of this is definitely frustrating, but importantly, it makes us aware of how our changes have impacted your experience. We wanted to discuss some of these issues today. We value your input and hope we can address all of your requests in future updates. Our development team is working on two major issues raised by players, and we want your feedback on them too!”

The two main issues mentioned were related to weapon crafting and scenario tags, with the developers noting that they understand that some players consider themselves “designers” and that others are frustrated by the lack of high difficulty tags. On the weapon crafting side, Starry will be adding a blueprint conversion system to the game, essentially allowing players to switch out armor and weapon tiers. On the scenario tags side, Starry hasn’t quite figured it out yet, so it’s inviting players to take another survey to try and understand what exactly players want.

Starry probably doesn’t have too much to worry about, as at the time of writing, there are over 114,000 players on Steam (via SteamDB), which is a very respectable number for a live service game. James recently spoke to the developers behind Once Human, who are hoping the game will last “decades.” Let’s see if they can work out these teething issues in the meantime!
