Aliens: Fireteam Elite Unfortunately, regardless of the platform, all players will not be able to enjoy the game together.
Aliens: Firepower EliteThe cooperative shooter from Cold Iron recently set its sights on the release date in late August. Today, the developer clarified a detail, which will undoubtedly disappoint many people.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite does not support cross-platform games. Cold Iron confirmed this to Gamespot and added that it will support cross-generation games, but only in the same console series. In other words, PS4 players will be able to play with friends on PS5, as well as between Xbox platforms, but these parties will not extend to PC or rival console platforms.
As a co-op shooter, Aliens: Fireteam Elite seems to be the best game to play with a group of friends, so it’s a bit strange to see the absence of cross-play. When you consider the Fireteam Elite game, games like Back 4 Blood do support cross-platform games. This feature will be tested in the August public beta, so this is even more so.
The good news is that Aliens: Fireteam Elite does support AI robots, which will fill players who are disconnected in the middle of the game. The game also provides a standard matching mechanism, hoping to make it easier for players to team up.
Aliens: Fireteam Elite will be available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on August 24.
