Now, they have another detail to add: no characters seen in the Final Fantasy VII Compilation.
One of the two directors of the game and father of Kingdom Hearts, Tetsuya Nomura, He explained that the games known as the Final Fantasy VII Compilation, Dirge of Cerberus, Before Crisis or Crisis Core, they will not have cameos in FFVII Remake through their characters. In an interview with Famitsu, the Japanese co-director says that there will be some elements of this in the game because they expanded the universe in a useful and necessary way, but that we will not see cameos or anything like that. «There will be no characters from this (the Compilation) that appear in this game, but there are some elements that touch in a certain way«, explains Nomura.
The game and movie characters may not be; However, there is something about the Compilation that will be present in the remake. Kazushige Nojima's novel, Final Fantasy VII The Kids Are Alright: A Turks Side Story, which was located in the period of time practically prior to the Advent Children movie and focused on the Turks, it does have several characters that we will see in the remake. The Final Fantasy VII novels
The Kids Are Alright is one of FFVII's two novels which takes place after the events of the game and before those narrated in the film Advent Children. With Nojima as author, we also find Final Fantasy VII: On the Way to a Smile, a complete book that tells everything that happened from the final battle against Sefirot in the North Crater until the appearance of the three brothers who want to hold the Meeting.
Both publications focus on all kinds of events, although the one that has more weight at the argument level is On the Way to a Smile, narrated from the point of view of Denzel, an orphan from Midgar who plays an important role in the later feature film.
