A big new Disney+ feature starring a legend of the video game landscape that wasn’t on the schedule is here. But ultimately not everyone will have access to it.
Disney+ will bring its Shogun event series online next week. An original production for the platform, which will therefore not be available anywhere else. And at the moment it is flawless and has simply rave reviews. But a few weeks ago we learned of the release of another exclusive documentary about one of the biggest video game developers, which isn’t always unanimous.
Hideo Kojima Connecting Worlds on Disney+
The Disney+ releases of the week were marked by the start of the final third season of Star Wars Bad Batch. And usually that’s not the only novelty. The video streaming service, along with Hulu and Hostar, is the official distributor of the documentary Hideo Kojima: Connecting Worlds. A Disney+ documentary that followed the creator since his divorce from Konami during the production of Death Stranding and was directed by Glen Milner (The Stories: The Making of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story).
“This visually arresting documentary offers a rare glimpse into Hideo Kojima’s creative process as he establishes his own independent studio. This film explores the power and potential of video games as an art form through the work of an influential talent revered by millions around the world. Featuring contributions from visionary artists such as Guillermo Del Toro, Nicolas Winding Refn, Grimes, George Miller, Norman Reedus, Woodkid, Chvrches and many more »
Hideo Kojima: Connection Worlds released today, Friday, February 23, 2024, on Disney+, but not everywhere. At the moment France is actually not worried. You can see the other areas where it is available Kojima Productions website. We’ll see if anything changes in the coming weeks, but the likelihood of that changing in the next few hours is slim.
