Update, 28. April: The new Aldi PC is now showing up in the Alid Nord online shop, according to the countdown, sales will start at midnight tonight. At Aldi Süd, however, the offer has not yet been found. Due to the current difficult situation on the hardware market, it can generally be assumed that the good offer will sell out extremely quickly.
Original message: From April 29, there will again be a Medion gaming PC at discounter Aldi. In this article we will take a look at what the Erazer Engineer P10 can do, for whom it is suitable and, above all, how good the offer is in terms of pricing.
What’s in the Medion Erazer Engineer P10
The beating heart of the Engineer P10 is the Intel Core i5 10400F with six cores and twelve threads. This is joined by an Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Super with 6.0 GB GDDR6 video memory with up to 3,200 MHz, 16.0 GB DDR4 main memory and a 1.0 TB PCIe SSD. With the SSD, however, it is not clear whether it uses the SATA or NVMe protocol – we assume the latter, however.
The specifications at a glance:
- Mainboard: B460
- CPU: Intel Core i5 10400F (6C/12T, 2,9/4,3 GHz)
- GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 1660 Super 6,0 GByte GDDR6-VRAM
- RAM: 16.0 GByte DDR4-3200
- Permanent storage: 1,0 TByte PCIe-SSD
- Network: Gigabit LAN
- Wi-Fi: Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200
- Casing: InWin 301
- Operating system: Windows 10 Home
The scope of delivery also includes the power cord and a wired mouse.
Who is the Erazer Engineer P10 for?
While the Core i5 10400F is one of the high-end processors in terms of gaming performance and with its six cores and twelve threads also cuts a fine figure in most application scenarios, the GTX 1660 Super is aimed at the middle class in the gaming segment, as our performance comparison shows:

Over 50 GPUs in a performance comparison
The GTX 1660 Super is designed for gaming in Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels), and apart from particularly resource-saving titles, it is tight.
How good is the offer overall?
Medion calls for the Engineer P10 in his own shop 1,050 dollars at Aldi, however, it should only cost 850 dollars (via Notebookcheck). After the offer could not be found online at first, it appears at least at Aldi Nord meanwhile on.
In view of the high prices for individual PC components, especially for graphics cards, the range can be described as good. At Notebooksbilliger.de there is currently one Complete PC with Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060 for also 850 dollars. It only offers a 512.0 GByte PCIe SSD and only 8.0 GByte DDR4 memory.
It is not worth copying
Building a PC with the specifications of the Medion Erazer Engineer P10 yourself is not worthwhile at the moment. You would have to spend a lot more money than for the complete PC due to the currently extremely high prices. We have selected the cheapest available offers for the individual components:
- Mainboard: 70 Euro
- CPU: 133 Euro
- GPU: 490 Euro
- RAM: 70 Euro
- Permanent storage: 85 Euro
- Power adapter: that. 50 Euros
- Casing: InWin 301 93 dollars, inexpensive housing approx. 30 dollars
In the best case scenario, we come to 930 dollars. With the more elegant case from InWin it would even be 990 dollars. To do this, you also have to get a license for Windows 10 Home.
