The Steam Deck is Valve’s answer to practical handheld consoles that you can use to lie comfortably on the couch or sit on the train and play the latest titles. Now it has been revealed which 100 games are played most often on the small screen. And they are by no means all pixelated indies!
These games dominate the Steam deck
We’re not going to list all of the top 100 games for you, you can of course find the complete list here on Steam. Instead, we picked out titles that surprised us a little. Some of the most played Steam deck games include massive and visually stunning open worlds – you’d think many like to experience them on screens that are as huge as possible!
- Hogwarts Legacy (the top of the list)
- Red Dead Redemption 2
- Elder Ring
- Cyberpunk 2077
- Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered
- GTA 5
- God of War 2018 (no open world, but you know what we mean)
- Forza Horizon 5
- Horizon Zero Dawn
But of course there are also many smaller and niche indie titles among the top games. For example this one:
- Vampire Survivors
- Hades
- Cult of the Lamb
- Stray
- Brotato
- Stardew Valley
- Valheim
The number of simultaneously active players is decisive for the place in the list, as Valve explains.
Particularly exciting: The survival hit Sons of the Forest is also in the top 100 list – although according to Valve it is not supposed to be compatible with the Steam Deck. At least the game is not officially supported, but apparently numerous fans get it running anyway.
We are interested in your opinion: Which games do you prefer to play on the Steam deck? Do you also like handheld immersion in open worlds like Red Dead Redemption 2, or do you prefer it for platformers or roguelikes? Does the lower resolution of the small screen bother you, or does the comfort factor make up for it for you?
