New World Rising: Anno 1800 gives a foretaste of what awaits you next

Genre: Strategy | Developer: Ubisoft Mainz | Release: 4th quarter of 2022

Another DLC for Anno 1800 is to be released in winter 2022, this time with the sounding title Rise of the New World. The video is less than a minute long and contains exactly zero gameplay scenes, but it is full of atmosphere: Do you remember the miniature film with string instruments as much as the Game of Thrones as we do?

The upcoming content that we haven’t seen yet definitely sounds exciting: new islands, new population levels, treasures and a new scenario. Unfortunately, Géraldine’s biggest wish from Anno will not come true this time either:

Willow: The next great fantasy series just keeps looking better in the trailer

Genre: Fantasy | Director: Jonathan Kasdan | Release: 30. November 2022

In 1988 a legendary fantasy film entitled »Willow. After 34 years (ouch) the sequel is now appearing, but in series format and on Disney Plus. Apparently the trailer made some of you curious. Many of you hope that Lucasfilm stays true to the original – that’s also the prevailing tenor on Youtube, by the way.

Eight episodes will be broadcast exclusively on the mouse-eared streaming service from November 30, 2022. Then we can all see for ourselves whether the Rings of Power and House of the Dragon series can compete.

The trailer for Assassin’s Creed: Codename Witch leaves many questions unanswered

Genre: Action-Adventure (?) | Developer: Ubisoft Montreal | Release: unknown, according to leaks 2026

What the thrice black cat is Assassin’s Creed witch? We would like to know that too. In 34 seconds, the teaser tells us next to nothing, but makes us extremely curious. It probably isn’t the definitive title of an upcoming assassin adventure, although it sounds fantastic. But he already points to the setting, probably it’s going to Europey for the first time – and right into the Middle Ages, in the time of the witch hunts.

So in the video we might even see the Black Forest a few hundred years ago, with an AC logo dangling woven from twigs. If you want to speculate with us about what’s actually going on, take a look at our analysis:
