Additionally, Heat announced that they’re working with other programmers to offer PSX emulation on Fightcade, a popular service for streaming retro games online. This will make these games widely available to regular players, rather than those willing to download them individually through Github. However, there is no specific date yet.
These types of community projects are great for those who still love the classics. Over time, many older games fell out of favor with developers and publishers who let them lie about their lack of profitability. Of course, we won’t see Fortnite numbers from these community revivals or netcode projects, but in order to preserve those experiences, it’s good to have them.
