After the CES was purely digital last year due to Corona, visitors can visit the spectacle again in Las Vegas in 2022. However, only to a limited extent, as many exhibitors have announced that they will be giving their presentations purely digitally in view of the increasing numbers of Omikron.
In this article we tell you what players can expect at the electronics fair, what and when the major hardware manufacturers will be presenting and where you can watch the spectacle yourself. So much should be said now: Most of the keynotes will be held on Tuesday, January 4th in the evening.
If you don’t want to miss any highlights, you’ve come to the right place: GameStar follows the events of Nvidia, Intel and AMD live and summarizes all the new products for you in compact news. In addition, we offer a daily trade fair ticker with all product highlights on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (January 5 to January 7, 2022).
AMD comes with new processors and graphics cards
As a graphics card and processor manufacturer, AMD is one of the most important companies for gamers at CES. AMD CEO Lisa Su will join the company on January 4th at 4:00 p.m. present the novelties of our time. If you want to be there live, you can watch the event on the go to the official AMD website
Leaks from Wccftech want to find out what exactly AMD will be presenting here. Accordingly, AMD will present three new APUs, which are processors with an integrated graphics unit. AMD is supposed to present the Rembrandt-Ryzen 9 6980HX, the Ryzen 9 6900HX and the Ryzen 7 6800H. The Radeon RX 6850M XT notebook graphics card joins the line-up.
The 6000H APUs should have 8 cores and 16 threads as well as 16 MByte L3 cache and 4 MByte L2 cache. They are based on the new Zen3 + architecture, which is a revamped version of the Zen3 architecture. Thanks to the 6nm chip, it promises more performance with less energy consumption.
Nvidia: Upgrades for existing models
Graphics card manufacturer Nvidia will also hold an event during CES 2022. The manufacturer’s high-end graphics cards in particular were difficult to come by last year, which is why we are hoping for new models and increased production capacity.
If you want to watch Nvidia’s presentation live, switch to on January 4th at 5 p.m. directly on the official website of Nvidia in live stream one.
One of the highlights will probably be the RTX 3090 Ti. This is a revised version of the current flagship with even more power. The first photos of the map have already been viewed and speculation about the technical details, there are also remarkable figures for the power connection:

In addition to the top model, Nvidia is also likely to present versions of the RTX 3080, RTX 3070 Ti and RTX 3060 with more RAM. So if you are still waiting for an RTX 30 card, it could be worthwhile thanks to the memory upgrade – if you want to pay the extremely high prices for a current GPU.
Intel: graphics card premiere and Alder Lake CPUs
Intel’s presentation could be very exciting for gamers this year as they have announced that they are entering the graphics card market. If you want to see the presentation live, you switch 7 p.m. our time on January 4, 2022 on Intel’s website one. In addition to PC hardware, the company also mentions
autonomous driving as a focus of the presentation.
What exactly Intel will present is still uncertain. But we assume that there will be new processors of the Alder Lake S series and hopefully the much anticipated Arc Alchemist graphics cards. The latter are rumored to be released in March 2022. The presentation at CES would therefore be a suitable time window, but that is not certain.
Sony: PlayStation accessories would be a surprise
PlayStation manufacturer Sony is also represented at CES 2022 and will hold a press conference. You can follow these live, but only at night, as they are on January 5th at 2am will take place in the morning. Night owls tune in Sony’s event website one.
What to expect here is difficult to say as Sony has a large line-up of products. For gamers, there may be new TVs with 4K and probably even 8K resolution. However, we do not expect any announcements in the PlayStation universe. However, Sony is always good for a surprise. Maybe we’ll see a new VR headset at the hardware fair?

The gaming hardware manufacturer MSI will also be represented at CES 2022. However, only digitally in the form of a presentation. You can turn this around 10:00 p.m. on January 4th on the official MSI YouTube channel look at. At the moment we have no clues as to what MSI might introduce. But new gaming PC and laptop models as well as mainboards would be conceivable.
