However, there is a way to limit the damage temporarily and shoot for longer. It is absurdly obvious: the armor that offer protection against fire damage, I-09 heat (light) and Draconauta I-102 (medium). These are achieved in the war bonus of freedom. But there is a small problem … you end up literally burning.

Burning with the weapon does not cancel their healing.
It turns Arrowhead thought of this combination when creating LAS-17, so they have added a small surprise: you can force the weapon much more with this armor, but eventually end up burning overheating … and we by extension. Now the damage due to overheating and fire, something that not even the igneous protection armor can remedy. It is not a solution or turns this weapon into a totally safe choice, but more viable.
