Are you one of those people who are easily jumpy? If so, Retrieval is not a game for you. Not at all. We can already say that after seeing the very first teaser trailer from gamescom 2024. What is it about? We don’t know that yet. Hey, we were paying attention! The thing is: The trailer doesn’t show much of the game, actually nothing. But it does make the premise of the horror title unmistakably clear. Apparently we are being hunted by horrific monsters in space. Sounds familiar? It is, but that doesn’t have to be a bad thing. The developer 333 Studios has at least already hinted that we will play the character Hana Loshe, the commander of a research team on the planet Ryhalian. The Steam description also lists immersive storytelling and deep character development as outstanding features of Retrieval. Thanks to tons of ray tracing effects, our eyes will also be pampered. Big words, but whether they will be followed by big actions remains to be seen. It’s still a while until Retrieval is released. You can already put the game on your wishlist on Steam, but a release date has not yet been announced.
