This canceled solo DLC could have been crazy, it will disappoint people

Canceled, Crazy, disappoint, DLC, people, solo

GTA 5 could have hosted several interesting DLCs for the single player mode, some of which ultimately carried over to GTA Online. One of them talks about him again.

During a recent GTA 5 Q&A stream, Steve Ogg, the actor who gives Trevor his facial features and gestures, mentioned one of the DLCs that highlights his iconic character. He filmed a few scenes in 2013 for an addition to the story mode of Rockstar Games’ bestseller, but none of this will ultimately see the light of day.

The Lost Trevor from GTA 5

Of the legendary trio of GTA 5 protagonists, Trevor is probably the one who impressed players the most. It owes its popularity largely to its talented and dangerously funny performer Steven Ogg. The actor recently admitted that he had filmed scenes as Trevor for a single-player DLC. This should be part of a trilogy in 2013 if we are to believe the elements gleaned from the game last year. The other two are tentatively named “Zombie Apocalypse” and “Alien Invasion”. “Agent Trevor”, which interests us here, should round off the promising picture.

« Trevor would go undercover for the FBI. For that we shot a few things in “James Bond Trevor” mode. Trevor was still crazy, but he tried his best to look like a secret agent. But all that disappeared, Rockstar didn’t do anything about it » says Steve Ogg.

Priority over live and online

Anyone who played GTA 5 primarily in single-player mode will clearly be left behind with these canceled DLCs. Unfortunately, Rockstar then turned its attention entirely to the much more lucrative GTA Online mode. Some of the elements planned for the single-player DLC were actually reused for the online counterpart. However, it’s difficult to disagree with the studio’s strategy.

If GTA 5 is still a very popular and widely played title even 11 years after its release, this is mainly due to the regular injection of new content into GTA Online. Unfortunately, the online portion of Red Dead Redemption 2 wasn’t treated so favorably. Only time will tell us whether the highly anticipated GTA 6 will have as long a lifespan as its illustrious predecessor.
