Before anyone gets it wrong, there’s no question that Diablo 4 has a ton of exciting loot drops. Add to that the ability to target aspects of a dungeon, and the fact that you can extract aspects from gear and imprint them into other parts, and you end up with quite a bit of freedom to build your character.
But sometimes, the game is brutal. No, we’re not talking about the six rarest items you’ll never see. Due to the inherent randomness of the math core that determines what affixes you get on your loot (and how powerful), sometimes you’ll end up with a dud.
That’s the unfortunate situation that Reddit user LavusVincere found himself in. When they received Crowding Sage’s boneprint helmet, they didn’t expect that the aspect it was rolled on had a value of zero.
“Your healing is 0 [0-2] Health per second for each melee enemy, up to 8 health per second,” reads Guardian’s description.
LavusVincere sarcastically called it “the greatest legend known to man” in his popular Reddit thread. As it turns out, they weren’t the first to get semi-useless stats in legendary drops, either. As others have shared in the comments, this seems to be more common than you might think.

User MamaMouser has the exact same aspect drop on the legendary shield he gets when he defeats the Butcher – they meet on level one!
MamaMouser is somehow worse version of the same aspect, with an impressive [0-1] Life, even shorter six seconds! This is simply insulting.
Of course, anyone unlucky enough to get these ultra-low stats on their aspect can still find some solace in the fact that aspects can be improved by upgrading the items on their roll – in this case five times. Upgrading that aspect before extraction means it will be stronger when it is finally imprinted onto another, better item.
