The Tokyo Game Show 2024 closed on Sunday, September 29, 2024, after four intense days in which the Japanese video game industry, but not only, presented to visitors the upcoming releases on PC and home consoles in the coming months. It is also an opportunity for publishers to sell certain titles to celebrate the great Japanese fair of the 10th century. Today it’s an exceptional action RPG rated 18/20 on JV and -77% on PC.
Nioh with -77% on PC (Steam)
Koei Tecmo sells its catalog on PC, but also on consoles (Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S) in the months of September and October 2024. In the Steam online shop of the Japanese publisher has 86 Video games promoted with licenses such as Dynasty Warriors, Tokiden, Atelier, Ninja Gaiden, Samurai Warriors, Attack on Titan and finally Nioh. The first installment of this action-RPG series developed by Team Ninja (the Japanese studio behind the PS5 exclusive Rise of the Ronin) is available -77% on Steam between September 23, 2024 and October 7, 2024 (6:00 p.m.). The second work is -45% on Steam.
Nioh is an action RPG in which players embody William Adams, considered the first samurai of Western origin in Japanese history. Set in the Sengoku era in a semi-historical and fantastical context, the Team Ninja title follows FromSoftware’s principles with its high difficulty and Souls-like approach to the genre in which it takes place. Nioh was rated 18/20 on JV and was a critical and commercial success for Koei Tecmo. Nioh 2, which came out three years later, performed almost as well as its predecessor with a solid 17/20.
