Silent Hill: The Short Message continues its rise
Konami has one idea in mind: to bring the Silent Hill franchise back to the forefront. Fans have been waiting for this moment for years and they’re going to get their money’s worth. First we have the remake of the second work, which still caused some concerns when it was last released. There is also the work called F, which will be set in Japan in the 60s, or Townfall, which will be published by Annapurna. Unfortunately, these games have not yet been released. But don’t panic because you can opt for another title from the license that has arrived on PS5.

We’ve mentioned it several times over the last few weeks, but we’ll come back to it for a pretty simple reason. It’s just reached a new level on the PS5 that’s worth checking out. Since arriving on the PlayStation Store on January 31, it has been downloaded more than two million times. We don’t give sales figures because it’s free to access. Despite its status, it remains a pretty impressive score.
But what attracts PS5 players other than the name Silent Hill in the title? Well, the initial premise is intriguing to say the least. We play Anita, a young girl who has received messages from her friend Maya. She makes the grave mistake of following the instructions given to her, which leads her to a dilapidated building infamous for the suicides that have taken place there. Once inside, she realizes that she is being blocked, but more importantly, being followed. It’s up to you to survive and find a way out of this macabre place.
