Where does the remake come from?
The YouTube channel Ruppertle, run by a fan and hobbyist developer, has published a video of his project, which aims to replicate Jedi Knight in Unreal Engine 4. The aim is to bring the game to a new level while retaining the style, feel and gameplay of the original. This looks pretty good in the release trailer:

After three years, the developer notes that the project is in a state where he wants to share it with others. That’s why version 1.0 can now be played for free. The game, which is about 6 gigabytes in size, can be downloaded via Ruppertle’s Patreon pageyou don’t have to donate anything.
What’s in it?
The current version is not the complete game, but the remake is still being developed. The following content is playable at the moment:
- Two levels from the original game
- Vier Survival-Level
- A sandbox mode
- A 3D model viewer
- A bonus level to test
- Some secrets
