This week Mundfish finally announced the release date for Atomic Heart, its long-awaited FPS set in an alternate version of the 1950s Soviet Union in which we’ll have to face off against an army of the most ruthless robots. To test the new gameplay which has been released courtesy of IGN.

Over 10 minutes we can see combat against a ball-shaped robot and that it has all the earmarks that it will cost horrors to get rid of it due to its rapid movements in circles or the ability to generate shock waves when hitting the ground as if it were a ball. Of course dodging his attacks does not seem to be an easy task.

In fact, the author of the video even dies a few times due to the devastating impacts of this metallic enemy that moves everywhere and has a wide variety of patterns. The funny thing is that on the death screen it comes out as an animation in the form of a cartoon that shows us exactly how we have died.

The most brutal FPS in history

This will come in handy just in case we haven’t noticed as the action is so frenetic and to at least take a little bit of tension away from the brutal action that we will experience. In turn, special mention to graphic and sound section, because they are simply amazingso it is clear that the delay that the game suffered to polish it has paid off.

Atomic Heart it resembles BioShock in a few details and aims to be one of the best FPS that we will see next year, specifically from February 21st en PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S y PC.
