It’s spring, it stays light longer in the evenings, the birds are chirping – and the TV manufacturers are revealing the prices for their new TVs. Samsung started at the end of February, now LG is following suit.
The good news: The wireless M4, which we were able to marvel at at CES, is coming to Europey. Here, a zero-connect box transmits all signals wirelessly to the screen, which itself only has a power cable.
The bad news: Depending on the size, you’ll pay five figures for it.
What’s new?
The biggest innovations can mainly be found in the high-priced segment. LG has added a new processor for the flagship OLED evo M4 and the OLED evo G4: the α11-AI processor.
According to the South Koreans, it has AI deep learning and is “four times more powerful than its predecessor.” Tests have to show how this is reflected. However, LG speaks of improved upscaling, color analysis and improvement thereof, dynamic tone mapping and virtual surround sound through AI.
Pleasing for players: The M4 has a 144 Hz panel up to 83 inches in size (the 97-inch model manages 120 Hz).

There is also an innovation on the software side. All OLED and QNED models get guaranteed updates for webOS for the next five years, just like we know from cell phones.
In other words: If you buy a 2024 LG TV in the classes mentioned above, you will receive new operating system features delivered free of charge (as long as they do not require dedicated hardware).

A notice: All prices are RRP in dollars. Experience shows that they will level off lower in the coming months. However, they are a good guide.
