Even the first stalker was hard to beat in terms of atmosphere. A really unusual shooter that brought a radioactive area to life with its gloomy atmosphere and is rightly called one of the best games of all time. In the meantime the fans are patiently waiting for the release of Stalker 2, which of course has to revive exactly this oppressive atmosphere.
Is this how Stalker 2 feels?
In order for this to succeed and to look great at the same time, the developers at GSC Gameworld rely on the Unreal Engine 4. Now the studio has published a first in-game teaser together with colleagues from IGN. For the first time we see a coherent scene that is supposed to show what the finished gameplay will feel like after all. And who would have thought it – the atmosphere is once again the focus. The developers themselves say:
“The teaser shows what the game actually feels like: The scenery changes quickly, threatening landscapes and the ominous feeling of inevitable danger, accompanied by a barely perceptible guitar soundtrack.”
Even with the new teaser it’s not just gameplay yet, but a scripted scene. However, if the finished game really does convey the same atmosphere as the 50-second teaser, another highlight may await us. We can only hope that Stalker 2 is not plagued by as many bugs as its predecessor. A release is planned for 2021, but it is far from certain. But her colleague Petra already knows exactly what to expect from Stalker 2:

What do we know about Stalker 2?
The new teaser isn’t the first time we’ve seen Stalker 2’s graphics. A few months ago there was already an in-engine trailer to marvel at, which presented the open world in Unreal Engine 4. You can also watch the trailer here:

In addition, more little information about the Chernobyl shooter was shared. So we already know that this time there are no limits and we can explore the exclusion zone seamlessly. In addition, monsters and factions should travel the world again and pursue their own goals.
This creates a living world and every player can experience very different adventures while exploring. At the same time, Stalker 2 will tell its own story again, which we influence with our decisions.
