As part of the ongoing Disney in-house exhibition D23, Marvel announced a new game in which two of their most well-known heroes play the leading roles: Captain America und Black Panther. The game doesn’t have a name yet.
Instead, it is so far only simple as Project
titled. However, we already know a little more than what the teaser trailer shows. By the way, you can watch it right here:

What we know so far about Captain America & Black Panther
Skydance New Media and in particular Amy Hennig are responsible for the game. The author is best known for her work on the first three Uncharted games and the Crystal Dynamics Legacy of Kain series. For the previously unnamed Marvel game, however, she now focuses on four heroes and the Second World War:
- The four characters are: Steve Rogers aka Captain America, Azzuri as Black Panther (grandfather of T’Challa), Nanali (leader of the Wakandas spy network) and Gabriel Jones (member of the Howling Commandos)
- Skydance New Media describes the project as a
Narrative driven ensemble adventure game
at the time of the Second World War, which will tell a story of its own - As a player, you will be playing all four characters throughout the story, and they may eventually encounter each other
- According to Hennig himself the game will be in the premier league visually and turn out to be an Uncharted-style action-adventure, albeit
be even more inviting to play with

At least that’s the official information so far about the upcoming Marvel game. At least one more thing can be seen in the teaser trailer: The French capital Paris and Wakanda itself apparently serve as scenes. At least the two places prominently identify themselves during the teaser.

Release: When is the Marvel game supposed to come out?
Marvel and Skydance New Media have not yet given any more details. This means that it is not yet known for which platforms the new game is in development. We suspect that only the PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S are served.
The reason for this is simple: There is also no release date yet. Given the teaser trailer, the sparse details and the not yet existing name, it is to be assumed that the game will probably not be released before 2024.

All the new movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Returning to Skydance New Media, the team is also working on an action-adventure set in the Star Wars universe alongside the Marvel game. However, there are no details on this yet and it should be just as long in coming.
