The next big moment for Diablo 4 is almost here. The game is currently in the final days of Season 5, and while everyone is looking forward to Season 6, the focus on everyone is on the release of the Ship of Hatred expansion.
Ships of Hatred is the first major new content for the game since its announcement last year, and Blizzard is inviting players to get a sneak peek at Diablo IV ahead of the expansion’s release.

The latest Diablo IV free trial weekend is now live and available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC via Battle.net (but not Steam). The trial allows you to download the full game, but you can only upgrade your character to level 20. Of course, any progress you make while creating your character will still be carried over when you purchase the full version.
Speaking of which, Blizzard is making this decision a little easier, as the game is 40 percent off until the end of the trial period, which ends on Monday, September 23rd.
While the timing of this demo does make sense, it may be a bit awkward for new players. Soon, the game’s leveling experience and world tier system will be completely changed, so it will be a shock to those who play Diablo IV for the first time this weekend, whether they continue to play until the expansion is released or stop and pick up where they left off.
Still, 20 levels isn’t a lot for progression, so this shouldn’t be a major hindrance. While the cap is low, this window should be enough to get a feel for the game’s mechanics, especially since you can play it on different consoles and create a variety of characters to try out different careers.
Ship of Hatred will be available on all platforms on October 8th, alongside Season 6. The expansion requires the base game Diablo IV to play, but the Season 6 patch will bring significant changes and additions that everyone will benefit from. Do
