Admittedly, Detective Pikachu is one of the best videogame-based movies ever made, but it was very focused on the history of the Nintendo 3DS title and details of the franchise were left out. In fact, there is a scene in which Tim Goodman and a friend are in the field to hunt Pokémon. But that was just a mirage because clearly the movie is not about that. They quite risked the live-action, something that in the first trailers I didn't quite convince the fans
But the absence of those details has an easy solution. Blister Cinema is a group that makes short films until last December surprised with a Pokémon live-action production called Call to Adventure. The initial idea has the essence of the franchise, in which a young woman named Sofia finds inscriptions in a cave while accompanied by her grandfather, Professor Aler. While the man stays taking notes in his notebook, Sofia leaves to the wild nature to look for Pokémon. A Rattata appears but she stumbles and remains on the floor for a while. When we wake up we see in more detail the Pokédex with a more realistic look than usual. Even so, the best is yet to come with the appearance of a legendary, so we invite you to see it completely.
It only lasts 8 minutes, long enough to surprise us. It's a very different and basic plot for a Pokémon movie, but closest to the anime series. Now that you've seen it, did you like it? The new anime season is leaving winks to the original series and that is also liking a lot, in addition to deepening the past of Pikachu and other characters we already know.
