Peter Parker has had plenty of suits, but few have been as effective and versatile as his Iron Spider: resplendent in form, packed with new features and the Iron Man master touch. Over time, the armor became part of the wall-crawler’s iconography both on paper and on the big screen. Now, almost twenty years later, Miles Morales also debuts a suit in the Marvel comics and it’s not made of iron, but of vibranium.
The house of ideas did not want to wait any longer for its 21st century Spider-Man to try on and show off his new vibranium suit, which is greatly inspired by the symbiote’s black suit, adapting the colors in the style of Miles: the reddish spider motifs are superimposed on a purple micro-fabric mesh. The best part? It’s a gift from Black Panther himself.
The debut of the new suit will take place in two issues of the series Miles Morales: Spider-Man: We will first see him on October 16 with issue 25, in which his destiny will cross with that of Black Panther in what promises to be a thrilling hunt across the rooftops of Brooklyn, and, starting in November, we will see him show off his new look courtesy of the King of Wakanda, officially appearing on the two covers of issue 26 of the collection.
What can we expect from Miles’ new suit?
It may be obvious, but it’s worth remembering that vibranium is a very expensive material and is not exactly abundant in either the comics or the Marvel Studios cinematic universe. However, its application in clothing is something we have more or less become accustomed to: the entire Black Panther suit is made of it, so Miles’ new suit inherits the same advantages.
The most unique thing about the vibranium suits is their extraordinary durability, but what will make it interesting for Miles to wear is its ability to absorb any nearby vibration or kinetic energy, as well as protect him from a wide variety of threats. However, it’s possible that in the process he also got some Wakandan tech upgrades in the form of new gloves that don’t go unnoticed like the visors.
Is this a suit that is here to stay or is it something temporary? What is clear is that it is a very valuable gift and that, as a general rule, Marvel heroes wear a new suit in anticipation of major arcs or for very specific circumstances. Seeing everything that is happening in the comics, it is clear to us that Miles Morales It won’t take long to test your endurance.
