A few days ago, Electronic Arts added the new event called The Old Ways Lore Event to APEX Legends, which is primarily based on the Bloodhound story. When adding this content, they took the opportunity to permanently leave the Duo mode and the Kings Canyon map, since they were things that many players missed because they were entertaining. However, in the recent patch, developers have not activated Solo mode as they usually do when incorporating a new update.
This they have done for a series of things that they have announced in the official page of APEX Legends. One of the reasons is because they noticed negative statistics when incorporating this modality, since the new players did not stay in the game and many others only played sometimes individually. On the other hand, it is also because some of the character abilities were useless when playing in Solos.
Now what about Solos? When we introduced Solos as a limited-time mode last year, we saw that it actually had a negative impact on the game, especially when it came to retaining new players. We also purposely designed Legends and their abilities to complement team composition and roster, but when playing Solo mode some Legends abilities become useless. These are just a few of the reasons why we decided not to include Solos in today's update. We are still exploring ways to enable a Solo experience, but for now grab a friend (or two) and jump into the arena. ”
Considering this, according to the developers, the best way to pass the Solos mode because it did not bring anything good for the players, nor for the game. Similarly, they have not said if they will add it in the future, so the possibility that this modality returns on another occasion is not ruled out.
